Finding the right honeymoon destination can be a challenge. There are so many options out there. And many photos on the internet make a place look perfect when in fact it isn’t. So how do you find the right honeymoon spot. Here are a few tips I’ve learned from years of planning honeymoons for clients.
- What is your vision for the honeymoon? Do you see yourself laying on a beach drinking frosty frozen drinks? Or do you want something active? Do you need nightlife? Or just really wonder meal eaten in a gourmet restaurant? Or is wandering thru the streets of Paris what you see? Get a clear vision for what you want. It helps with the planning process
- How much time do you have? Going to Hawaii would be amazing but if you only truly have 5 days it really isn’t a good idea but St Lucia is a good alternative. Often called the Hawaii of the Caribbean
- Budget. How much can you truly spend? Knowing that helps narrow down choice
Also think about leaving a day or two after the wedding. Your guests have come to see you – so spend time with them. Maybe take a day to unwind and relax before heading for the airport.
This is just the basics. Things to think about when planning. Talk to a expert! Make it clear what you want. It isn’t that hard. Honeymoon planning just needs a bit of thought. Hard to do when planning a wedding. But worth the effort in the end!!!

I worked with Marissa last year for my Anniversary trip (which I took in June); we went to St. Lucia and stayed at the Serenity Resort. The resort was everything Marissa said it would be. We enjoyed every single moment we were there. Marissa was amazing she sent me reminders for my last payment, when to check in and she also sent me a welcome back email. I’m currently working on a group trip and some of the travelers have a very tight budget so I gave her the budget and she was able to provide several different locations with amazing resorts. Now the hard part is deciding on which one to travel to. I really can’t express how amazing Marissa is and working with her is a breeze and so refreshing. I absolutely love working with her and will be using her for all of travel needs.
